[04-13-2023] Fresno County, CA- Woman Injured After Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 41

A woman believed to be in her 60s was injured following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 41 in Fresno County on Thursday afternoon, April 13. 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, authorities received a report regarding a collision between a van and a work truck on Highway 41 and E Nebraska Ave shortly before 4 p.m.

The police said the woman was traveling west in a van when she suddenly went to a posted stop sign. She allegedly pulled away from the stop sign and stopped the van in the middle of the road for an unknown reason. That is when the truck struck the vehicle.

She needed to be airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center to seek medical attention after suffering moderate to severe injuries.

The truck driver only complained of pain and was not hospitalized.

The collision was not believed to be caused by drugs or alcohol. The CHP is still investigating the crash.
