[04-13-2023] Riverside County, CA – Fiery Big Rig Collision in Mecca Killed Two People, Injured Three More

A fiery big rig collision killed two people and injured three more in Mecca, Riverside County, late Thursday night, April 13, 2023.

The Riverside County Fire Department reported that the fatal collision happened around 11:52 p.m. close to the intersection of Avenue 66 and Highway 86.

A big rig and two sedans were involved, in which one sedan overturned and got caught on fire.

Two people were killed at the scene, one was severely injured, and another two sustained injuries. One was sent to a local hospital, while the other two were given medical assistance at the scene.
