[04-14-2023] Imperial County, CA – One Pedestrian Injured After Struck by a Car in El Centro

A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a car in El Centro on Friday night, April 14, 2023.

According to local authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Even Hewes Highway.

The motorist claimed he did not see the pedestrian since he was wearing all-black clothing when he crossed the street, leaving the victim with a broken ankle and head injuries.

The victim was quickly attended to by emergency services and was flown by a REACH air ambulance to Desert Medical Center for treatment.
