A person was killed after a train and vehicle collision in the Oro Grande community in San Bernardino County on Friday morning, April 14, 2023.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision between the black or gray Volkswagen Beetle and the train happened around 8:41 a.m. on National Trails Highway and Robinson Ranch Road.
The vehicle was reportedly on the tracks before the crash. When the first responders with the San Bernardino County Fire arrived at the scene, they confirmed the death of the vehicle’s driver.
BNSF has been advised of the investigation. Two train services in the area have been temporarily halted.
No further details were released regarding the accident.
