A 70-year-old woman identified as Vicenta G. was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing the street on Saturday night, April 16, 2022.
The Bakersfield Police and Fire Departments responded to the collision just before 8:00 p.m. on South H Street near Isil Avenue.
According to BPD, a woman was taken to a local hospital and later died. The female was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision.
According to police, the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
This crash does not appear to have been caused by drugs or alcohol.
