[04-19-2023] Humboldt County, CA – Elderly Man Suffered Hemorrhage After Dog Attack in Eureka

A 62-year-old man suffered a hemorrhage after a dog-bite incident in Eureka, Humboldt County, on Wednesday morning, April 19, 2023.

According to scanner traffic, a request for medical personnel regarding a dog attack to respond to the Walgreens parking lot on Broadway came in at about 11:30 a.m.

The victim was reportedly bleeding from both arms, and the person attempting to help the victim could not stop the bleeding.

When medical personnel arrived, it was unclear whether the victim was treated at the site or brought to a local hospital.

The animal was described as a black and brown German Shepherd mix.

No further information is available, as authorities are still searching for the dog suspected of attacking the victim.
