Authorities are looking into the death of a pedestrian on the 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles on Wednesday morning, April 20, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was walking on the freeway when they were struck by an oncoming vehicle.

According to officials, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the CHP investigation.

The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.

The 110 Freeway’s northbound lanes were earlier backed up due to lane closures, but they have since reopened.

There are no other details available.

The crash remains under investigation.
