One unidentified person was killed after a deadly train crash near Davis on Tuesday morning, May 3, 2022.
According to the initial reports from the Davis Police Department, the accident transpired at approximately 7:30 a.m. near Second Street in Davis.
The victim was walking on the tracks when they were struck by an Amtrak train. The Coast Starlight Train 11 stopped due to a “trespasser incident.”
Unfortunately, the unidentified pedestrian was killed in the mishap. It’s unclear what they were doing on the train tracks. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed.
Local authorities are further investigating the case.
