One unidentified pedestrian was killed after getting struck by a Muni light-rail train in San Francisco on Sunday, May 15, 2022.
According to the SFMTA, the accident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on Bayshore Boulevard and Arleta Avenue.
The accident reportedly involved a T-3rd light rail train.
After a pedestrian was killed by a light-rail train in San Francisco, the SFMTA, SFPD, and the California Public Utilities Commission are reviewing detailed footage from near the Arleta Station.
According to a San Francisco police spokesperson, SFPD responded to Bayshore Boulevard and Arleta Avenue shortly after 10:00 p.m. to meet with Muni personnel about human remains discovered on the Muni tracks.
It’s unclear how far the train may have dragged the pedestrian.
The medical examiner is currently investigating this crash.
