[05-16-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Metro Link Train Vs. Vehicle Collision in Valley Glen Kills One Person

A person was killed after a metro link train and vehicle collision in Valley Glen, Los Angeles, on Tuesday afternoon, May 16, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the collision occurred around 3:20 p.m. in the 12900 block of Raymer Avenue near Coldwater Canyon.

Authorities said that the vehicle was seriously damaged in the crash. Firefighters cut through the wreckage to extricate a person inside the vehicle, but the person was immediately declared dead.

The train was bound for Ventura County with fifty-three passengers on board. No injuries were reported to the train’s occupants.
