According to the Fairfield Fire Department, a major multi-vehicle crash injured six people, including at least one who was trapped for a time in Fairfield Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at around 11:30 a.m. on eastbound Highway 12 and Chadbourne Road.

The injuries were not described as life-threatening, but the injured people’s conditions are unknown. One person became trapped inside their vehicle and needed to be rescued.
