The fatal collision transpired around 4:30 p.m. at 3rd and Mission streets in the South of Market district.
Two women were pronounced dead at the scene, while a male pedestrian was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to reports, the taxi driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
After colliding with another vehicle, the taxi cab ended up on a sidewalk outside a business.
The fatal accident is still under investigation.
