[05-23-2025] Los Angeles County, CA โ€“ Man Fatally Struck by Truck on 710 Freeway in Long Beach

A man was struck and killed by a truck while walking along the northbound 710 Freeway in Long Beach early Friday morning, May 23, 2025.

The California Highway Patrol said officers were dispatched to the scene near the Wardlow Road exit at approximately 12:03 a.m.

When authorities arrived, they located the male pedestrian in the roadway. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Long Beach Fire Department personnel.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

These deaths were lowest on Tuesdays and peaked on Saturdays and Sundays.
