A man was killed following a suspected DUI two-vehicle collision in San Diego on Thursday evening, May 25, 2023.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the victim’s moped was struck near the 7100 block of Paradise Road in Bay Terraces at around 11:00 p.m.
Officials said the victim was riding down Paradise Road when a 66-year-old man in a 2016 Nissan Maxima, suspected of driving under the influence, struck the victim’s moped from behind.
The moped rider was ejected from his vehicle after being struck. He sustained fatal injuries, police said. His current condition is still unclear.
