An unidentified 7-year-old girl was killed after getting hit by a suspected DUI boater on Colorado River on Sunday evening, May 29, 2022.
The accident happened at approximately 5:00 p.m. on the Colorado River near Buckskin State Park.
The 7-year-old girl was reportedly swimming along the shoreline when a boat suddenly struck her.
Authorities confirmed that the boat operator was under the influence at the time of the accident. He was identified as 37-year-old Arthur G. and was arrested on suspicion of boating under the influence.
The 7-year-old girl was rushed to an area hospital. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
