According to the California Highway Patrol, an unidentified pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed on state Route 94 in San Diego early Monday, May 30.
According to CHP officials, the crash occurred at 3:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of SR-94, west of the 15 freeway.
The CHP reported that the driver of a gray Volkswagen sedan notified them that they had hit someone.
The pedestrian was discovered in the far right lane and was declared dead on the spot.
There are no other details available.
The crash remains under investigation.
