One person was severely injured after being struck by a train in Bakersfield late Wednesday evening, May 31, 2023.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the crash happened around 11:06 p.m. near M Street and 29th Street.
Initial reports say that a man possibly got his shoe caught on the tracks just as the train passed, causing him to be struck.
The victim suffered severe injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where his condition remains undisclosed.
The authorities are currently conducting an investigation and have yet to release further information.
