According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a pedestrian man is dead after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Pacific Coast Highway early Saturday morning, June 4, 2022.
The fatal collision occurred at around 12:45 a.m. in the 27000 block of Pacific Coast Highway, near Via Escondido.
According to the authorities, the victim was an adult male traveling in the second lane when he was struck by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction (to the west), which continued on without stopping.
The man was pronounced dead at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after being taken there for treatment.
The investigation is still underway, and there was no additional information available.
