[06-07-2022] Fresno County, CA – One Person Killed, Two Others Seriously Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Selma

A 71-year-old man died, and two other men were seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash in Fresno County on Tuesday evening, June 7, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 8:05 p.m. at the intersection of South De Wolf and East Floral avenues in Selma.

According to CHP spokesman Mike Salas, the man was driving a Chevrolet Suburban west on Floral near the De Wolf intersection.

A man driving a Chevrolet Silverado was approaching the intersection eastbound on Floral when the Suburban turned southbound directly into the path of the Silverado, resulting in a head-on collision.

The man in the Suburban was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Silverado’s driver and his passenger both suffered life-threatening injuries.

Salas claims that witnesses rescued the two men before the vehicle was completely engulfed.

The two men’s current conditions are unknown. According to Salas, neither direction is controlled by stop signs, with the exception of De Wolf northbound and southbound.
