Authorities say a 40-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a car in Kearny Mesa on Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022.
The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Convoy Street.
A Tesla headed westbound on Othello Avenue, driven by a 39-year-old man, ran a red light at Convoy Street and collided with a 40-year-old pedestrian who was walking southbound on Convoy.
The woman was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead due to her injuries.
The San Diego Police Department responded to the scene Tuesday morning, and officials are still investigating the crash.
