[06-07-2022] San Francisco County, CA - Motorcycle Rider Killed After a Deadly DUI Crash on Highway 101One unidentified man was killed following a deadly traffic crash involving two DUI drivers on Highway 101 on Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022.

The deadly crash transpired at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Highway 101, near eastbound Interstate 80.

The southbound motorcycle rider was traveling on Highway 101 when he was involved in a collision and was ejected from his motorcycle.

Authorities believe the rider swerved off the connector to escape a DUI crash and landed on a moving vehicle on the westbound I-80 to the southbound Highway 101 ramp.

A suspected DUI driver was behind the wheel of a vehicle that struck that car in the middle of a highway intersection.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by at least one and possibly more cars after landing on the roadway.

Both the Honda and Subaru drivers were arrested and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence.

An active investigation of the case is currently underway. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the California Highway Patrol at (510) 557-1094.
