[06-07-2023] Alameda County, CA – Person Killed After Being Struck by Train in San Leandro

A person was killed after being struck by a train in San Leandro early Wednesday afternoon, June 07, 2023.

According to the Bay Area Rapid Transportation officials, the collision happened around 12:50 p.m. at the BART Bayfair Station.

The victim was found dead along the trackway, which alerted a major medical emergency. A coroner was called to the scene to examine the body.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation and have yet to release further information about the identity of the victim.

Numerous routes from this station were closed, including Dublin / Pleasanton, Berryessa, Richmond, and Daly City, while bus services were provided to transport people from station to station.
