Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

Many California drivers aren’t aware that single-vehicle collisions are among the most lethal.

Sixty-two percent of California’s fatal car accidents involve a single vehicle, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Drivers in California must be aware of the various factors that contribute to the high number of single-vehicle accidents in the state.

There are numerous causes of a single-vehicle collision. A run-off-the-road collision occurs when a driver loses control of their vehicle while speeding or making sharp turns on a wet, slick road. Large branches and truck-tipped objects can be found littering the roadway.

Your comprehensive coverage plan will likely limit your recovery in a single-car accident caused by something that isn’t your or another driver’s fault.

Loss and grief are difficult for them to revisit. In depositions and trials, victims are required to give testimony about their losses in front of strangers. The length of time it takes to resolve a legal matter can significantly impact one’s mental health.
