Fatal Car Crash Statistics

Single-vehicle collisions are among the deadliest accidents on the road in California, but many drivers are unaware of this.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, sixty-two percent of fatal car accidents in California are caused by a single vehicle. Because of the high number of single-vehicle accidents in California, motorists must know about many contributing factors.

Single-vehicle collisions are possible for a variety of reasons. Off-the-road accidents, also known as runaway vehicles, can happen if you drive recklessly on a slippery road while speeding or making sharp turns. The road is littered with branches and other debris that were thrown from trucks.

If a single-car accident is caused by something other than your or another driver’s negligence, your comprehensive insurance policy is likely to pay less than your collision insurance policy.

Riverside County Car Accident Lawyers

Nearly everyone who is injured in a car accident can’t get back into the workforce, nor can they go back to school; despite the fact that reckless driving results in the death of another person, it is still a crime. Those who died in a car accident may file wrongful death lawsuits against the driver who caused their death.

The pain of revisiting their memories of loss and grief is unbearable. Depositions and trials require victims to testify in front of a room full of strangers about their losses. People’s mental health may suffer if their legal issues aren’t resolved quickly enough.

Swift action is needed to hold a driver responsible for a car accident. The high death toll resulting from a lack of attention must be held accountable. However, pursuing a wrongful death lawsuit can help grieving families come to terms with the death of a loved one, even though it is exhausting to do so. This change will have a significant impact on Californian drivers.
