A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Oxnard on Wednesday night, June 11, 2025.
According to the Oxnard Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 8:42 p.m. to the intersection of Saviers Road and Elm Street following reports of a traffic collision with injuries.
The arriving first responders found motorcyclist Justin M. of Oxnard lying in the roadway with significant injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities stated that a gray 2004 Honda Accord had sustained major damage to its passenger side. The driver, a 31-year-old Oxnard man, was uninjured and remained on scene. A 33-year-old female passenger was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
A third vehicle, a black 2020 GMC Sierra pickup, sustained minor front-end damage. The occupants were not injured and cooperated with investigators.
Preliminary findings indicate the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Saviers Road with a green light when the southbound Honda entered the left turn lane and suddenly turned into the motorcyclistโs path.
The motorcycle struck the side of the Honda, ejecting the rider into the roadway. The Honda then rolled forward and collided with the GMC, which was stopped at a red light on Elm Street.
It is currently unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
