One unidentified man was killed following a deadly motorcycle crash in Elk Grove on Sunday afternoon, June 12, 2022.
The accident happened at around 12:48 p.m. in the area of Hood Franklin Road, near Interstate 5 in Elk Grove.
A westbound Harley Davidson was struck by a westbound Kia Sorrento that was trying to make a U-turn to enter the southbound lanes of Interstate 5.
The motorcycle rider was seriously injured in the mishap and was rushed to Kaiser South Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The Kia driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. He was uninjured in the mishap.
The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case.
