An 82-year-old man identified as Robert C. was seriously hurt following a major motorcycle collision in Calistoga on Monday morning, June 13, 2022.
The accident happened at approximately 9:45 a.m. in the area of Highway 128 and Tubbs Lane in Calistoga.
A southbound 2020 Dodge van was traveling on Tubbs lane when it stopped at the intersection. At the same time, a westbound 2020 Yamaha motorcycle was also stopped on Highway 128.
As the Dodge began to turn left onto the eastbound 128, the driver collided with the 2020 Yamaha motorcycle. The rider was ejected from his motorcycle due to the severity of the impact.
The motorcycle rider was rushed to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment. The Dodge driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the case.
