According to a Bakersfield Police Department spokesperson, two people were injured after a marked BPD vehicle was struck on Saturday, June 17, 2022.
The crash occurred at around 7:38 p.m. on California Avenue and Stockdale Highway.
The officer allegedly slowed down as they approached the intersection and was hit by another car.
One passenger of the other vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital after complaining of pain, while the police officer suffered only minor injuries and declined medical attention.
The Major Collision Investigation Team is looking into the collision.
Alcohol and drugs are not factors, and no charges have been filed.
