[06-18-2022] Riverside County, CA - One Man Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Crash in Desert Hot SpringsAccording to police, a pedestrian was struck by a sedan and pinned against a parked vehicle, causing serious injuries on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

According to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department, the crash occurred at 10:30 p.m. near Ironwood Drive and Ocotillo Road.

According to investigators, the pedestrian, who was standing near a parked vehicle in front of a home in the 66600 block of Ironwood Drive, was struck by a 64-year-old Desert Hot Springs resident driving a Chevrolet Cobalt.

The driver of the Chevrolet sedan drifted to the right for unknown reasons and collided with the pedestrian, pinning her against the parked vehicle, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to police, alcohol and/or drugs may have played a role in the crash. No arrests have been made yet.
