[06-19-2022] San Joaquin County, CA – One Dead, One Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Pole and Lands in Ditch in Tracy

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old Manteca man died after losing control of his vehicle and overturning into a ditch with water along State Route 4 in Tracy Sunday morning, June 19, 2022.

According to CHP, the crash occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. the 2005 Infiniti G35 was traveling east on SR-4, west of the Middle River Bridge, at an unknown speed when the driver lost control.

The vehicle veered off the road into a gravel and dirt shoulder, struck a power pole, came to rest on its roof, and then overturned into the water.

Around 7:15 on Sunday morning, a witness reported the car. The driver, whose identity was not made public, passed away there.

A passenger in the car, a 27-year-old Manteca woman, was rescued and transported to the hospital with minor wounds.
