[06-23-2023] Santa Barbara County, CA – Five People Hospitalized Following Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash in Santa Maria

Five people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Santa Maria on Friday evening, June 23, 2023.

According to the Santa Maria City Fire Department, emergency responders, including the California Highway Patrol, were called just before 8:00 p.m. to the crash on the 700 block of Tepusquet Road.

Authorities stated that the vehicle overturned and landed upside down in a ditch located 50 feet away from the road. Officials said six people were in the car, but only five occupants were transported by ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center for their non-life-threatening injuries.

The authorities provided no additional information about the other person involved or what caused the crash. It is currently unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
