[07-01-2022] Kings County, CA – Two Fresno Man Killed in DUI Two-Vehicle Crash in Lemoore

According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal two-vehicle crash claimed the lives of two Fresno men in Lemoore late Friday night July 1, 2022.

The crash occurred just before midnight Friday officers say they were alerted to a call of a crash near Jersey and 17th Avenues in Lemoore.

According to investigators, a Nissan minivan was pulling out of the Tachi Palace Casino Resort’s parking lot as 26-year-old Santana Y. of Lemoore was traveling eastbound on Jersey at high speed.

According to police, the 63-year-old male minivan driver turned onto the road from the north and into Yanez’s Toyota.

Authorities claim Yanez could not stop and struck the minivan, killing its driver and his male passenger, 52, who was riding in it.

According to police, Yanez was detained after discovering that he allegedly drove while intoxicated.

In addition, they claim he was hurt, required medical attention, and was flown to a nearby hospital by helicopter.

The crash is still under investigation.
