[07-01-2023] Off-Roading Accident on Cow Mountain Leaves One Man Dead, Another InjuredOne man was killed, and another was injured following an off-roading accident on Cow Mountain OHV in Mendocino County on Saturday morning, July 1, 2023.

According to the report of California Highway Patrol, Officer Hanson responded to the accident on BLM Land on Scotts Creek Road, west of Panther Ridge Road, at around 7:18 a.m.

A Jeep Wrangler overturned several times on the roadway, ejecting the driver and several passengers. It rolled over the driver, who died at the scene from his injuries. One passenger sustained minor injuries, and the other three passengers were unharmed.

The driver was identified as Felipe R., but other individuals involved in the accident have not yet been identified.

The investigation of the crash continues.
