An early two-vehicle crash killed one and the other three injured, officers say alcohol was a factor in the early Saturday morning crash in Jensen Avenue, July 2, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 4:00 a.m. on Jensen and Marks Avenues.
Angie T., 24, allegedly ran a stop sign at Jensen Avenue while driving north on Marks Avenue, according to investigators.
She slammed her car into the path of a Nissan truck that was carrying three people—two adults and a child.
Thao was taken to the hospital after the collision caused serious injuries. The 38-year-old passenger in Thao’s car passed away from his wounds.
The three truck occupants suffered only minor wounds.
According to the police, Thao was under the influence of alcohol and will be arrested.
The investigation is still ongoing, and the deceased man has not been named.
