One unidentified person was killed due to a fatal pedestrian accident near Newhall Pass on Saturday morning, July 2, 2022.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer (CHP) Moses Marroquin, the crash occurred at 3:39 a.m. at the Newhall Pass area of the 5 Freeway.
First responders received reports of a collision on the northbound 5 Freeway close to the interchange with the 14 Freeway.
Marroquin remarked that it was an automobile versus pedestrian.
According to authorities, the pedestrian was killed in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
