[07-06-2023] Santa Clara County, CA – One Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Caltrain in Mountain View

One person was fatally struck by a Caltrain in Mountain View on Thursday morning, July 6, 2023.

A representative from the transit agency said the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the Rengstorff Avenue crossing.

According to the report, an unfortunate incident occurred involving a southbound Caltrain, resulting in the fatality of an individual.

The train carried 14 passengers at the time of the incident, and no other injuries were reported.

The identity of the individual involved in the collision remains undisclosed.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Mountain View police.
