[07-08-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Hospitalized After Single-Vehicle Crash in Boyle Heights

One person was killed, and another was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, on Saturday morning, July 8, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers were dispatched to the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway and Whittier Boulevard at 4:41 a.m., where they discovered the Honda Accord had hit an embankment and a tree.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene around 4:51 a.m. and rushed one person ejected from the car to a hospital in uncertain condition. Another individual was declared dead at the scene; their age, name, and gender were not disclosed.
