According to the police, a 55-year-old woman was seriously injured while riding a bicycle and colliding with a Toyota SUV in the Torrey Pines neighborhood Saturday, July 9, 2022.
The crash transpired around 10:30 a.m. The woman was riding her bike north on 10900 N. Torrey Pines Road.
According to Officer D. O’Brien of the San Diego Police Department, the bicyclist swerved to the left and collided with the Toyota as it was being driven north by a 79-year-old woman.
The officer claimed that the cyclist fell to the ground as a result of the collision with the car.
The bicyclist suffered severe but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. The collision was not caused by alcohol.
Investigators from the Traffic Division responded and took charge of the collision investigation.
