According to the report, the incident occurred on a sidewalk in El Dorado Hills that afternoon.

Contreras and her children were innocently strolling on the sidewalk when they were struck by a motor vehicle. The El Dorado Hills community has shared their support for the family of the victims in this time of hardship.

Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene, while her daughters were brought and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of UC Davis Hospital in serious condition.

Grace’s husband, David, turned to social media for support, condolences, and prayers for his daughter’s recovery, asking his loved ones to join him. As his daughters fought for their lives in the hospital, David expressed hope that the swelling in their brains would decrease.
