[07-10-2023] 63-Year-Old Man Killed, 2-Year-Old Boy Injured After Three-Wheel Motorcycle Crash in LakesideA 63-year-old man was killed, while his 2-year-old passenger was injured following a three-wheel motorcycle crash in Lakeside, San Diego County, on Monday evening, July 10, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Serena Road, west of Serena Lane, at around 7:30 p.m.

The older man was driving a three-wheel Honda motorcycle, with the young boy as his passenger, when he lost control while approaching a right curve on the road. This caused them to drive off the paved portion of the road.

Both the driver and the passenger were ejected from the motorcycle, and unfortunately, they were not wearing helmets.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the child sustained minor injuries and was brought to Rady Children’s Hospital. No information was released regarding the identities of the two, pending an investigation.

It is uncertain whether drugs or alcohol contributed to this incident.
