Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

The fact that single-vehicle collisions are some of the deadliest on the road is not widely known among Californian drivers.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that single-vehicle crashes cause 62% of fatal car accidents in California. Drivers must be aware of the numerous contributing factors due to California’s high rate of single-vehicle accidents.

A single-vehicle collision may result from a number of factors. An off-the-road accident, also called a runaway vehicle, can occur when a driver is roughing it while speeding or making sharp turns on a slick road. The road is covered in branches dropped by trucks and other debris.

If there is a single-car collision that wasn’t the fault of you or the other driver, your comprehensive insurance policy will probably pay less.

Kern County Car Accident Lawyers

Most accident victims cannot return to their jobs or institutions of higher learning. Even though it results in another person’s death, reckless driving is still considered a crime. Victims or the beneficiaries of their estates may bring wrongful death claims against the reckless driver who killed them.

It hurts to think back on their experiences with loss and grief. Victims must testify in front of strangers about their losses during depositions and trials. A person’s mental health may suffer due to delays in resolving legal matters.

Immediate action is required to hold the driver accountable for a car accident. The high number of fatalities brought on by inattention must be addressed. Pursuing a wrongful death lawsuit can be taxing, but it can also assist grieving families in coming to terms with losing a loved one. Drivers in California will feel the effects of this change quite strongly.
