[07-12-2022] Kern County, CA - Pedestrian Woman Run Over and Killed at Jefferson ParkAccording to the Bakersfield Police Department, a sleeping woman on the pedestrian was killed after being run over while sleeping at Jefferson Park in East Bakersfield Tuesday.

The Bakersfield Police Officers were dispatched around 6:47 a.m to Jefferson Park for medical aid to a woman down.

The officers discovered a dead 57-year-old transient woman, according to BPD.

Officers later learned that the woman was sleeping in the middle of the park when an unidentified motorist driving a truck ran her over.

According to the release, the suspects are identified as white male drivers and white female passengers. The suspect vehicle is identified as a white mid-2000s Ford F150.

The collision is still being investigated.
