[07-12-2022] San Diego County, CA – Unidentified Pedestrian Fatally Struck in San Ysidro

According to the authorities, a person was hit and killed by a vehicle near the U.S.-Mexico border in San Ysidro Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

According to California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred at around 8:25 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5 at West San Ysidro Boulevard in San Ysidro.

The San Diego fire officials confirmed the pedestrian had been fatally struck by a vehicle in either the first or second lane.

First responders provided no other information.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
