[07-14-2026] San Francisco County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle on Sixth St. Near Howard St.

A 57-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood early Tuesday morning, July 14, 2026.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers and paramedics responded to the incident at around 4:07 a.m. in the 200 block of Sixth Street near Howard Street.

Paramedics transported the man to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, but he later succumbed and was pronounced dead. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Police reported that impairment did not appear to be a factor in the crash. The San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to release the pedestrian’s identity.

The investigation remains ongoing.
