Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics
Despite the fact that many drivers are unaware of it, single-vehicle collisions are among the most dangerous car accidents in California.
In California, single-vehicle accidents makeup 62% of all fatal auto accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Drivers need to be aware of the various factors because single-vehicle accidents are so common in California.
There are many different things that can cause a single-vehicle collision. When a driver veers off the road at high speeds or makes sudden turns on a slick, wet road, the result is a run-off-the-road collision. There may be debris on the road, such as a large branch or something that fell from a truck.
If a single-car accident occurs that wasn’t your fault or the fault of another driver, like a deer jumped in front of your car, your comprehensive coverage plan will probably limit your recovery.
Tulare County Car Accident Lawyers
A lot of people injured in car accidents are unable to go back to work or school. A negligent driver’s responsibility is still owed even if a victim dies. Victims’ surviving family members may bring a wrongful death claim against the negligent driver who killed the victim (or legal heirs).
It hurts for them to have to go through their sorrow and losses again. In depositions and courtroom proceedings, victims must speak in front of strangers about their losses. One’s mental health may be greatly impacted by the length of time it takes for a case to be resolved—months or even years.
It’s important to hold a reckless driver accountable if they cause an accident. Accountability is essential when negligence causes an excessively high death toll. Families in mourning may experience emotional exhaustion as a result of filing a wrongful death claim, but they may also find comfort in this. This will be advantageous to every driver in California.
