[07-17-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision Killed a Woman in HollywoodAccording to the Los Angeles police detectives, a pedestrian woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Hollywood Sunday, July 17, 2022.

According to LAPD, the crash was reported around 4:55 a.m. on North Wilton Place, just north of Sierra Vista Avenue.

The woman was initially hit by a Toyota Corolla on North Wilton. She was thrown into the front lane by the force of the collision. The driver fled the scene but was later located and was assisting with the investigation, according to the police.

According to the LAPD, the woman was struck by a Nissan Rogue that was traveling north as she lay on the road. That driver continued to travel north on Santa Monica Boulevard before turning east. According to the LAPD, that collision threw her into the middle of the street.

Police reported that the woman was declared dead after being taken to a hospital. Her identity was kept private until her kin were notified.

Detectives from the West Traffic Division of the LAPD were looking for that driver.
