[07-17-2022] Los Angeles County, CA- Pedestrian Killed after being Struck by a Car in Eagle Rock

According to authorities, one person was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Eagle Rock on Sunday night, July 17, 2022.

According to preliminary information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision occurred at 11:38 p.m. on the eastbound 134 Freeway just west of Figueroa Street.

Authorities responded quickly to the scene and discovered the gray Hyundai Veloster that had struck the pedestrian.

According to reports, the driver thought they had hit a large animal. It is unclear whether the pedestrian died at the scene or a nearby hospital.

The accident is still being investigated.
