[07-18-2026] San Diego County, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Collision With Vehicle in Linda Vista

A motorcyclist was hospitalized after colliding with a vehicle in Linda Vista, San Diego County, on Saturday morning, July 18, 2026.

According to the San Diego Police Department, officers responded to the incident at around 11:20 a.m. on the 1400 block of Ulric Street.

A 24-year-old woman driving a Volvo S-60 southbound attempted a U-turn from the right shoulder, entering the path of a southbound Kawasaki motorcycle being ridden in the No. 2 lane.

The motorcyclist, a 64-year-old man, struck the rear of the Volvo and sustained a fractured vertebra, a shattered right ankle, and a lacerated tongue.

Authorities said alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash. The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The investigation remains ongoing.
