MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH STATISTICS

As the state’s economy grows, so does the number of traffic accidents. In 2010, approximately 3,304 people were killed in car accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Driving a car in California is extremely dangerous. The drivers could have done more to prevent these collisions. Human error is to blame for nearly all accidents, accounting for 94% of them.

Depending on the severity of the injury, a car accident can be painful or even fatal. Because car accidents occur so frequently, drivers can easily lose sight of the dangers they pose.

A multi-vehicle accident occurs when three or more vehicles collide. A pileup of up to six vehicles can occur when two vehicles collide head-on.

According to an NHTSA study, over 13,000 people died in collisions involving multiple vehicles in 2010.

Two-vehicle collisions are easier to prosecute because only two parties are involved. When multiple vehicles collide, the situation becomes more complicated.

In this situation, determining who is at fault becomes more difficult. If more than one vehicle collided, many people could have been injured.

If you are involved in a multi-vehicle collision, you may not want to put your trust in an insurance company. As a result, you shouldn’t expect a quick resolution to your claim because insurance companies prioritize their own financial interests over their customers’.
