[07-25-2022] San Bernardino County, CA – Pedestrian Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit by a Van on Telegraph Avenue

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a van driver struck and critically injured a woman in her 50s while she was walking the street on Telegraph Avenue late Monday afternoon, July 25, 2022.

According to the police, the crash transpired at about 4:50 p.m. on Telegraph Avenue at Derby Street.

According to police, the driver struck the woman as she crossed Telegraph Avenue while turning left onto Telegraph from Derby.

According to BPD, the driver stayed on the scene and was cooperative. The involvement of alcohol in the collision was disregarded by the police.
